I’ve told my story.

I’ve written it in my pilot’s log.  I’ve read it to Noonan, who likes it very much.  But he says that if anyone ever read it, they wouldn’t believe it.  They’d say it was a fantasy.

I’d say to them, If it is, then what have I been doing all these years?

But sometimes I ask myself just that.  And then I feel the cold, ethereal strangeness of existence.
